Tucked in a quite corner of Lau Pa Sat is a small stall named Jolly-V. Yes, the name do sounds like your favorite Jollibee but more than the similarity in name is the undeniable resemblance of taste and texture of that juiciliscious and crisypyliscious Chicken Joy. Right from your first bite, you'll know just how good Jolly V was able to replicate the original chickenjoy.

But Jollly-V is not all about the chicken. They also have spaghetti and palabok that taste just like the original. You can't help but think that the owner/operators worked with the commissary of Jollibee. They also have hamburger, hotdog, french fries and burger steak. The taste of these four are not the same as the original but they don't really need to. And do you know one thing they have that Jollibee doesn't offer? They got pizza! Though it doesn't taste like Greenwich(which Jollibee also owns), it tastes good enough for you to enjoy.
Getting Famous
You read it right. A quick search at google for "Jolly V Singapore" and you'll find a number of reviews from non-Filipinos. Aside from word of mouth, Jolly V gets free advertisement from bloggers who tried their Jolly Meals. And it only adds to the popularity of this little joint among the Filipinos in Singapore and the locals. Being located at Lau Pa Sat also gives the stall another edge as the food centre is very popular among tourists and locals.

I know that by now, you are already salivating but some of you may not know how to get there. So head now to Lau Pa Sat and get your ChickenJoy fix. As for me? I have to sign-off now. Writing this article made me crave for Chicken Joy! It's Friday and I need to get my weekly fix. If in case you don't know where Lau Pa Sat is, don't fret. Just alight at Raffles station (EastWest and NorthSouth line) then head towards EXIT I. Walk along Robinsons Road and after two blocks, you'll see Lau Pa Sat.
